05/20/2015

"Measurement in Motion" team from Informatik 7 wins first prize at the startup business plan competition for 2015 organised by BayStartUp

Team MiM

Measurement in Motion is a startup aligned with the Department of Robotics and Telematics (Informatik 7) and extends 3D laser scanning technology for high-precision (millimeters) surveying of various environments in motion. In particular, this enables a scan of indoor environments like production facilities in one continuous scan  with state-of-the-art algorithms from artificial intelligence research allowing for measurements to be performed without the use of external positioning sensors and markers.

Team: Dr. Jan Elseberg, Dr. Rolf Lakämper, Dr. Peter Janotta
